By accessing or using Decompressed's vector storage platform and services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.

2. Description of Services

Decompressed provides cloud-native compressed vector storage services, including:

  • Vector database synchronization from Pinecone, Qdrant, and AWS OpenSearch
  • INT8 compression and storage of vector embeddings
  • Vector search and retrieval APIs
  • Usage tracking and billing management
  • Python and TypeScript SDKs

3. Account Registration

To use our Services, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to breach security
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Resell or redistribute our Services without authorization
  • Use the Services to store illegal content
  • Exceed rate limits or attempt to overload our infrastructure

5. API Keys and Authentication

API keys are provided for programmatic access to our Services. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping API keys confidential and secure
  • Rotating keys if compromised
  • Not sharing keys with unauthorized parties
  • Monitoring usage associated with your keys

6. Billing and Payment

Pricing

Pricing is based on storage usage, API calls, and data transfer. Current pricing is available on our website and may change with 30 days notice.

Payment Terms

You agree to pay all fees associated with your use of the Services. Payments are processed monthly. Failure to pay may result in service suspension or termination.

Refunds

Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in our refund policy.

7. Data Ownership and License

You retain all rights to your vector data. By using our Services, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store and compress your vector embeddings
  • Process queries and return search results
  • Perform backups and disaster recovery
  • Aggregate anonymized usage statistics

8. Service Level Agreement

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for our Services. Our SLA includes:

  • Automated monitoring and alerting
  • Regular backups with point-in-time recovery
  • Incident response within 1 hour for critical issues
  • Service credits for downtime exceeding SLA commitments

9. Data Backup and Recovery

We perform automated backups of your data. However, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical data. We are not liable for data loss except as provided in our SLA.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination:

  • You must pay all outstanding fees
  • Your access to the Services will be revoked
  • Your data will be deleted within 30 days unless you request an export
  • We may retain data as required by law

11. Warranties and Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DECOMPRESSED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Decompressed from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Services. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
